First International Energy Week

(SEIDE)

The First International Energy Week (SEIDE) will take place from 14th – 18th January 2008 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The event will bring together public and private Dominican organizations with international cooperation agencies.

At the event, government representatives, scientists and experts, business professionals and investors as well as development and international cooperation organizations will participate with the aim of providing an exchange platform to look at the energy problem. Participants will examine different ways of combating this with as little impact on the environment as possible.

The electrical sector is of great importance for the development of countries. This event is in response to the need to renovate and diversify the sources of energy generation, the demand for which is increasing every day.
